Backstory
A Miramax-produced documentary that played public TV stations during Miramax's press frenzy for SLING BLADE during the 1986-87 Oscar® campaign. Includes head-banging footage of Billy Bob's band Tres Hombres during rehearsal, bloopers from HEARTS AFIRE, shots of places where he used to work when he was (until recently) a starving actor, and interesting photos 'n' whatnot. Plenty of interviews with Mom Virginia Thornton, pal Tom Epperson, and others who have watched Billy Bob's talent evolve over the years.

 


BBT On DVD
Originally included with the Criterion Laserdisc of SLING BLADE, it was finally added as an extra to the new Director's Cut DVD of SLING BLADE, likely after Planeteers mounted a California-state ballot initiative drive to redress the oversight!
