"Inside Out: Warren Zevon"

When singer/songwriter Warren Zevon was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a rare type of terminal lung cancer in August of 2002, his wish was to record an album dedicated to saying goodbye to the people he loved.  Now on VH1, Zevon shares the creative process for that album and some poignant moments with the many fans that have supported him throughout his career.

VH1's "Inside Out: Warren Zevon," premiering Sunday, August 24 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT), follows Zevon through his personal journey with this terminal illness and chronicles the development, production, and impact of his album The Wind, scheduled to be released Tuesday, August 26, 2003.

Hosted by Billy Bob Thornton, "Inside Out: Warren Zevon" features interviews from Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, album producer Jorge Calderon and Warren's two children, including his daughter who is pregnant with twins.  It is Warren's hope that he is able to see and hold his grandchildren. Throughout the show, Warren Zevon discusses his struggle with this disease to his friends and speaks about how his condition has affected the development of his album The Wind.  "Inside Out: Warren Zevon" also includes excerpts from Zevon's personal diary, as well as clips from his live performance on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Singer/songwriter Warren Zevon has recorded 16 albums throughout his career, and has developed a steady following.  The Wind produced by Warren Zevon, Jorge Calderon, and Noah Scot Snyder includes performances from Jackson Browne, T-Bone Burnett, Ry Cooder, Emmylou Harris, Don Henley, David Lindley, Tom Petty, Timothy B. Schmit, Paul Shaffer, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Bob Thornton, John Waite, and Joe Walsh.
